It's possible, but your optician would have to examine the frame. Not all frames are ophthalmic quality.

It can be cheaper to buy complete pairs on the internet .OK if you have a low prescription, but higher prescriptions need accurate centring. You can get two complete pairs of designer specs with anti reflection coating from Asda, for £90 , no extra cost for thinner lenses if you have a high prescription.

u can get pretty cheap glasses from the internet....i got mines with lenses and frame for about £35 last year from select spec

It really depends upon your prescription. Some lenses cannot be fit into certain frames due to the thickness of them. Also, you need to consider the fact that the lenses will have to be professionally cut down to fit your chosen frames. In all honesty, it would probably work out cheaper to buy a pair, lenses and all through your optician.
