j.c. penney runs specials where you can get a pair including lenses for $49. that's the cheapest i've seen them at a store. i'm sure rescue missions, i.e. goodwill, salvation army, etc. have some sort of program that you can get inexpensive frames and lenses. look up some places in the yellowbook and call around.

I would stick to going to see an eye doctor in person, somethings you just can't do over the net, your eyes are a precious gift, however you could buy frames you like from a reputable site, in case you have problems with the frames, you could exchange or return them, and have the eye doctor put in your prescription....good luck!!!!!
